ACCSMI Annals of Clinical Case Studies and Medical Images

About the Journal

Annals of Clinical Case Studies and Medical Images (ACCSMI) is a multidisciplinary clinical & medical, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that provides a platform for the publication of clinical case studies, research studies, case reports enriched with high-quality diagnostic and procedural images. The journal is committed to advancing clinical education across all medicine, healthcare, clinical practice, diseases, treatments, diagnostics through the power of real patient cases and cross speciality insight.

Case studies, case reports provide a detailed account of an individual patient’s clinical course, including presenting symptoms, physical findings, diagnostic procedures, treatment, and follow-up. While demographic information such as age, sex, and medical history may be included, the primary focus is on highlighting unusual, rare, or novel clinical scenarios. Case studies, case reports contribute to medical knowledge by documenting unique presentations, unexpected outcomes, or emerging conditions. Though limited by their single-subject design, they play a valuable role in education, generate hypotheses for future research, and often serve as early indicators of trends in clinical practice or therapeutic response.

We welcome contributions from all areas of healthcare, including—but not limited to—internal medicine, radiology, emergency medicine, surgery, dermatology, neurology, infectious diseases, oncology, pediatrics, critical care, family medicine, orthopedics, gynecology, geriatrics, cardiology, physical medicine, cancer research, rehabilitation medicine, pediatrics and psychiatry. Our goal is to support clinicians in understanding the diagnostic and therapeutic processes from multiple perspectives.

Our editorial board seeks out cases that not only describe rare or complex presentations but also teach practical approaches applicable to everyday medical practice. Open-access publishing ensures that clinicians and educators worldwide can benefit from the shared experience.

ACCSMI is a dynamic educational resource for medical professionals, trainees, and researchers who seek to enhance their clinical knowledge across disciplines and through the lens of visual diagnostics.

Open Access

Open access refers that all published articles are freely available online for anyone to read, download, and share without subscription or access fees. This publishing model significantly increases the visibility, reach, and impact of research by allowing a global audience to engage with scholarly work immediately upon publication. Authors typically retain copyright and may apply open licenses, such as Creative Commons licenses, which permit reuse, distribution, and adaptation as long as proper credit is given. By removing financial and accessibility barriers, open access supports the rapid dissemination of scientific knowledge and encourages broader collaboration across institutions, disciplines, and countries. It ensures that valuable research findings benefit not only scientists, but also clinicians, educators, policymakers, industry professionals, and the general public. Choosing open access contributes to the advancement of open science and promotes a more equitable and inclusive research environment, where information is freely accessible to all.

Peer Review

After submission, every manuscript undergoes a peer review conducted by anonymous experts. These reviewers critically assess the work’s scientific accuracy, originality, and clarity. They offer comprehensive feedback and suggest revisions or acceptance. This essential evaluation guarantees that published research is well-conceived and meaningful.
